Damn... some nice driving by both... Even though you're N/A, is yours just about as fast as the alltrac because of lighter weight, or at you just a better driver?

Why didnt you post this in multimedia, but it looked like fun. I cant wait to have some more displacement.

Does a Mod want to move this over to Multimedia? I'm making more wheel horses than the stock alltrac. *less driveline loss* I'm making about 156 to the wheels and through our calculations it's about 140 to the wheels with the alltrac. plus the alltrac is heavier by like 600lbs or so. Plus I don't have to wait for the turbo to spool, NA response.

^Yeah I like NA response...especially once 4500rpm hit. Dave, or Loki can move it. Or Play, Luni, Borinal..PC too I think.

Downhill racing, for reference watch Best Motoring International. If you watch the video carefully you can see the alltrac 4W drift. It's actually pretty cool, just watch how the camera slides over.

dmboy, I think you played that pretty pussy like.. lol.. you shoulda been able to take him on the fact that you have way more traction.

Altho, there is this nice long turn by my place.. that I can take at 60-65mph with out an issue in my GTS.. and my buddy did it at 70mph in his 03 WRX.. To be honest.. I think my GTS grips nearly as well as the WRX on dry surface.

Neat video! Wish we had roads like that here in florida. Anyone one of you guys feel a bit of understeer? How fast where you going consistantly through the run?

I think it would've been cooler if you would've taken that first dirt road on the right :D

Cool nonetheless :)

I know, but I'm still babying the car. Recently picked her up, spent 3 months on the engine swap and now have 1600 miles on the new engine.

I'd have to say the average speed on that hill was 45-50. I know I rapped out second gear and should have used third. btw I'm using an ST205 Tranny love the dual cone syncro's.

Gearing and Km/H
1: 1:3.38 - 57 Km/h
2: 1:1.91 - 100 Km/h
3: 1:1.26 - 150 Km/h
4: 1:0.92 - 210 Km/h
5: 1:0.73 - 239 Km/h

I'm used to driving my 4runner up that hill. Ever drift a 4000lb SUV?

Shut up Eric, I :owned: you. Not really but in a straight line I can pull away fairly easily, the alltrac is still stock except for an airfilter adaptor and an ST205 tranny. He's still runnin stock turbo, stock boost, ECT. I didn't feel any understeering except for a couple of the really tight turns and when I do I just tap the brake while I'm on the gas and that shifts the weight to the front and slips the rears or I'll give a light tug on the e-brake while on the brakes to neutral out the brake balance which is normally very front biased, if you watch the last corner of the run carefully you can see a little puff of smoke come of the inside rear wheel and that's from me trailbraking/two-foot braking.

We should go 3 wide next time I come back up, alltrac in the middle.

Lets settle this.

I'm down, but if we get three we might as well include 1sloceli as #4. We don't want him to miss out, that and he still has our Camera Mount.

KoreanJoey

Yeah, can't forget the camera mount.
