for bragging rights...sure. but you could probably just as well throw a v8 into your celica for that much.

Um.. something is missing.. how does he KNOW it will run at that HP? IF it has no miles on it.. I mean what sorta boost you gotta push for that?

I have a 3sgte sitting in my garage that's ready for a 1000hp.. I'm just not gonna tell you how much boost it's gonna take and when it's gonna blow up.. lol

^^ well to comment on that mileage question he could have dyned the motor. im going to email him about how he knows this. ya i know my 5s is rated for like a 1000000000000000000 hp on about 99999999 lbs of boost. :lolhittin

im not too sure that the hardware in that motor is worth 800 WHP lol i can build that motor with a brand new block from toyota for 1/4 of that price....

Those aren't that exotic a build list, maybe worth 2000.

Guys, note the lack of turbo etc. He claims the HEAD is ready to go up to 800HP. It's just a longblock w/out turbo or anything else that's going to affect what power it actually makes. While I don't know if that head is good for 800 or not, he never claims what the motor has done. He says it's built for 750HP, not that it has done it. Nothing falsified in the ad necessarily, whether it's worth that price or not.. I dunno. See what longblock specs LB used and for that matter the top secret supra, both make that power out of the 3s.

No, it isnt worth 6k I dont think.

I dont even think the head looks very ported or polished.

i aint putting you down

but that head has been ran through, looks like a very nice port jobs, you should ask him how many CFM+ he pulled out of the head and wetehr or not it was air or water flow benched

i dont think he put $10,000 more like 7000-8000 into it as he claims but a shimless bucket conversion alone costs about $1000 with machinen work, that motor is definaltly worth more then the $2000 most of you claim, think
cams=$600
rods/pistons+machiene work=$1000+
headwork is not cheap so probably around $750-1000
the valvtrain shimless buckets, valves, springs retariners etc.. plus machiene work are going to cost well over $2000

right there your looking at $4500 minimum+ theres at least another $1000 in parts(gaskets cam gears arp bolts arent cheap...etc) and probably another $1000 in labor, worth WAY more than $2000....but you wanna know how much its worth? exactly what someone is willing to pay for it

and as for the 800 hp comment, he means the botem end and valvetrain can support 800 hp, as a sotck 4agze bottem end can support about 300 hp before it shits out, and no your stock 5sfe bottem end cant support 1000000000hp, more like 225 below

and fyi the motor has been started and ran, you can see it in the exhaust port

just my $0.02

Basically add your turbo, fuel system and management, and exhaust and you're fast.

im not saying the motor build is cheap... but my buddy is doing similar things to his 3s and its not gonna cost him anywhere near 5000.... after machine work and EVERYTHING more like $3000.... but ya getting that power out of a 3sgte is VERY hard.. ya its been done but im pretty sure the top secret motor used JUN components... much more $$

I'll believe 800hp when I see it. Not just for 2 minutes either.. it has to be reliable as a 800hp 3sgte can possibly be.

lol then either hes getting a fat hookup, or the machiene work is going to be shitty, ANY reputable headwork is going to cost AT LEAST $1000 for a port and polish, valvejob and flow benched

the rods and pistons are easily going to cost you $1000 W/OUT machiene work with the arp rod bolts, bearings rings and wrist pins

and a shimless bucket conversin is easily $1000 with machiene work....id know ive had it done to a 4agze before, and i knew the owner

look halfway down the page, and this is a CHEAP store and its non-flow benched
Street Port/Polish from $750! It never hurts to employ talent. Right? Well it just so happens my partner is a Mondello #1 Ranked Graduate. We now offer full service port/polish including valve job, pressure test, and head cleaning begining at $750.
