just to let you know...

that 300zx in that video was running with a T-51 single at 24psi on race gas running 600-650rwhp while the supra was running only bpu on stock twins with 16psi on pump gas around 350-425rwhp.

These guys are on sf and the supra will "spank" the 300zx any day because he's running upgraded twins from hks which would have 550rwhp on pump gas and up to 750rwhp on race gas.

I was refering to the guys launching abilities. I'm very confident that the supra would spank the 300zx. Its just that noob couldnt drive it for shit.

honestly speaking, supras are some of the hardest cars to catch traction with so most of the time people under-rev and bog at the start. It was the supra's first run at the track so yeah...

What does it being the first run have to do with it? How would we know its the first run. Fact is, driver doesn't have enough practice handling the beast. He screwed up his run. That car probably runs 10's.

i fail to see how running a single turbo on a v6 would be any better than the twin turbo set-up. an inline 6 yeah but a v6?
somebody explain?

Because you can run a much bigger turbo if you have 3.0L worth of exhaust going to it than if you have 1.5L of exhaust. Twin turbo setups are good for moderate power with little to no lag, but most big power street car run a single turbo nowadays.

The V versus Inline configuration argument is just a packaging issue, once that is overcome the advantages and disadvantages are the same for both types of motors.

Plus, a single turbo is more thermodynamically efficient than a twin turbo setup.

That being said, I'd love to see the piping they used to run all 6 exhaust runners into one turbo :P
