Fuck man... I can sell you a CD5444 for $50 less, and you will have a supreme head unit that does mp3, has a memory stick, time alignment, 24bit DAC, DSP, and parametric eq, plus a 3 yr warranty and 1 yr theft. You can do so much better in that price point. Granted, the sony is flashy, but do you want your money in flashy or SQ?

I wish I knew why it doesn't fit.

You are definitely hopelessly into bling. At least I can clear my conscience since I tried to help you not make a mistake. To each his own.

As for it not fitting... the other head unit was a single din too, so there is no reason why it won't fit. Go crutchfield!

Crutchfield blows. Anyways. Im am looking for neat factor and funcionality. I guess I don't need the neat factor since I am putting in a PC down the road.

Show me a few good ones around the 300 dollar range. Blue lighting preferrably.

For that price, you can find way bettwe CD players. Not to mention, a few hundred bucks more youve got a dvd/tv in dash

If you want bling and some quality go with Pioneer. Maybe Alpine too but they don't have so many flashy features.

Ive had two high end sony xplod units, and they were the biggest pieces of garbage ever. Both of them skip like crazy, there both sensitive to temperatures, they only like to play CD's when there in the mood, and pre outs on the back are very sensitive for some reason, if you touch the RCA's, you will lose the output.

Never will i buy a sony product again. Im looking for an eclipse or Alpine deck still.....

i have the Sony CDX-M80... i love it. greatest sound quality i have ever heard and clean signal to the subs. DSO really helps clean up the sound for the coaxials.

DSO cranks up the signal WAY to much, makes the MB quarts blare even more. Dont like DSO

pioneer's shred speakers by distorting the fuck out of speakers unless you have them professionally tuned, and even then SQ is mediocre. As for the sony dso, the is nothing more that a preset eq setting the amplifies already crappy outputs... IntitialD, if sony is the greatest sq you have ever heard... you either are deaf, or you have not heard something better. The sq of eclipse wipes its butt with sony, even eclipses lowest head unit sound 10 times cleaner. :slap:
