I have a 1990 Toyota Celica, and it has auto overdrive trans
Sometimes when i go down on the road, about 35-40 mph, usually it's around 2000 RPM, but sometimes it jerk up to 2800-3000 RPM and it just stay there, and it won't downshift which the engine runs in a very heavy load at a low speed, does anybody have any clue what cause this problem, any advice or suggestion will be appreciate!

By the way, tranmission service has been done recently, including transmission flush, filter.

One of the valves might be getting stuck in the transmission.

An automatic transmission changes gears with hydraulic pressure. The torque converter produces the pressure, and valves route it to the correct place. If one get's stuck, it won't shift at the right time.
