Hi, could someone tell me the difference between a "mass airflow sensor" & a "Air tempreture sensor" on a cars air intake? :wtf:

The air temp sensor tells the ECU how warm the air the engine is breathing is. The warmer it is the lower the density is, so if it reads HOT it reduces the fueling rate, and COLD it increases it.

The MAF sensor tells the engine just how much air is being drawn into the engine.

However, both of those sensors are together in the AFM [I'm assuming you have a 3SGE] on your particular car.

I do have the 3SGE engine. Thanks for your help.
