I assume the 5th gen AT shifter rod is the same as the GTS shifter rod right?

Just wondering.. planning on making my own short shifter.. Since I got the rod from the AT I'll hack a few inches out of the shaft and then weld it back together.. and slap it in my GTS..

Busy, dammit. :D
I have my own Alltrac I'm messing with. :P

They are the same.
If you had a 92/93, it would be shorter. They came with a factory short throw. :D

Yea, The AT one has these bends in it.. whereas my stock one is straight with 1 bend at the bottom.. I concur it's easier to cut my stock one.. which is what I will do.. in the car.. Cut it out and then have my buddy weld it back together... all in car..

Just be sure to cover EVERYTHING before he welds.
You'd be amazed at how much the sparks fly...

Yea.. I watch it all the time.. heh.. maybe if I can get car in bay he can TIG weld it... but that might be to much heat for in-car action.
