nice car bro..I like the hacked up front bumper! I'm not sure if I like the lambo doors or not, but hey...it's one of a kind I guess. Keep up the good work, lets see some more mods under that ugly hood of yours.

to tell you the truth... i dont like the stickers... i like the yellow tho... when i get the swap done i am taling off the stickers... i am going to re paint it in a couple months... what color do you guys thing i should paint it? include 2 tone or n e thing...

thanks for the constructive criticism... but some of you are a little overboard... i dont make fun of ur stock car... so dont make fun of mine if you dont like it. that is why i stopped going on celica.net

whats wrong with my hood? the mods under the hood is 3sgte... it is in the process

GT4SOM
12-31-2004, 03:58 AM
Well I think what he ment to say by that was that your hood looks kinda cheezy. No offense there but that hood obviously isn't a gt4 hood. Is it even an active scoop? I mean the car doesn't look bad at all, I just thought the decals was a little too much for me. Good job on the lambo though..What shop made them for you?

u better rally that car as soo to make the roof scoop functionable

hmm i like that subaru in the first pict it is teh sexy. as for constructive criticism get rid of those rims, my mom has them on her car, get bigger rims, if ur going with a light color i suggest darker rims etc, also the yellow is a lil bright i suggest a dark blue like gt4some's car bc that is my car color and i love it ;) other than that it can be a very nice car. good work.

im not a big fan of the scooby... the rims look good but i think they went overboard with the front end aesthetic mods.

I'm liking the vertical doors, but I don't think I've ever seen a car with a green/yellow color scheme that didn't look tacky.

Any chance you would give a deal on those vertical doors to ctech members? :D

TwistedImage92
01-01-2005, 11:08 PM
i could give a deal... but i read the other page about the doors... it cost me $8500 for my kit... i dont want to get ripped off by someone that is just going to take the kit that i made and copy it. i had to pay engineers to help me with the kit. that is why it cost me so much... the price of the kit is just to help pay off my credit card... i was going to do a group buy for another forum but they decided to buy one and rip me off so i canceled it.

AutobotCelica

I have no intentions of copying your kit nor do I have the skills to do so myself. Just want my Celica to be the only one with lambo doors in my town.

GT4SOM
01-02-2005, 05:34 AM
Why don't you sell them for 500 bucks a peice. A group buy of 15 would break you even.

It looks like you put a lot of work into your car and like the final outcome, so that is really all that matters. It's not my taste at all. I do like the yellow, but it would look tons better without the vinyl.

You want constructive criticism, so here's what I would do to "fix" that car:
Remove vinyl
Get a real GT4 hood and ditch that one
Get rid of the LED washer nozzles
Paint the grille in the front black (it would look so much cleaner like that)
New wheels
Thin spacers in the back to even up with the rear fenders
JDM Clear corners (you can find some on Ebay)

That's just my personal opinion, so don't take it offensively. Congrats on all the work, and good luck with your swap :)

Wonderful comment. Youre so funny. I think that the roof scoop looks sweet. Not everything on a car has to be functional. Looks are important to some people too. When most people see a car with a nice looking roof scoop, they say "that looks sweet", not, "hmmm, that guy must rally his car"

91CelicaGT13

I'm feeling a group buy coming on for those sweet vert doors, you could break even real easy with the people on here that would want the vertical doors (myself included). So see if you can get that into the works. Constructive criticism: take off decals, I took off mine and even though I lost about 40 hp :hehe: my car looks a lot cleaner now and I'm sure yours will too after the swap, good luck

Peace

Kevin

well said. i think its rediculous how much people get flamed for aesthetic mods. not liking how a car looks is your own opinion and you are entitled to say it, but if someone wants to spend money to make their car look how they want it to then :givesafuc . i had intended to swap the celli when my motor went downhill, but my parents were set against the idea, so i decided to put the money i had into the exterior of the car. i dont give a shit if my car isnt fast, i'll have my fast car soon enough. but just because i cant put the money into making more hp doesnt mean i cant use it to make my car look better. and twisted, dont let the comments get to you, your car has a style that is extreme, so not everybody is going to like it. go with what works for you because theyre not the ones who have to drive it.

heres the deal guys... anyone off of celica tech $1000, 5-9 $800, 10+ $650. i have to pay for materials, parts and tooling. who ever is in charge of the group buy can get a set for 500 for their contrabutions.
yea that is chads car...
no i dont rally, it is just for looks.
the tail lights are functional tho... :)

Hey TI whats up. Kinda late but welcome to the board. To anyone fixin' to do any dealling with TI, he's legit. Though the kit is a little heavy, it's easy to put on on. You could actually put it on at home in your garage as long as you had a dremel. But if he promises you a T-shirt or hat, Forget about it. He'll never send them. lol J/K Har.

:stupid: Hmm if you were to achieve a certain amount of speed, would it be possible for the fiber glass hood scoop to rip right off? Being that air isn't flowing, only resisting.

as far as your plans for the body, remove the decals, and since you want to repaint, i would say stay with that yellow. you said yourself you like it, and its a pretty damn sweet yellow. its pretty much exactly the color my buddy is looking for for his 92 gt

after seeing the back end, i like the idea of the tail lights matching the bumper slits, but i think the stock tail lights uncovered would look better
