This older mustang was messing around trying to race me, we caught a light together, i did a somewhat of a good launch and pulled ahead of him instantly, then slowed down, he comes up next to me reving on a roll, we take off and he pulled half a car ahead of me in 2nd i had to shift early because im getting fuel cut at 5500, 3rd gear he pulls jusst a little bit more, at about 80 im at his back bumper and he stops pulling on me, but i cant catch up to him either.

Im not sure on the year that this mustang was, but it was definatly 70ish, it was a little bit bigger than most mustangs it looked similar to this body style right here, it was light green, and had huge wheels in the back, i was impressed

mods: 17lbs of boost, totally untuned, hitting fuel cut at 5500, t3/t4 50trim intake, exhuast, injectors, fuel pump, blah blah blah

Dude you really gotta stop beating on your car untuned. I don't know, unless you already have another engine sitting in your garage ready to go in.

Emphasis on "some day"

Sad loss, bro. Sorry to hear. Oh and image tag done broke.

That's a Mach 1 Mustang. They came with with 375 HP and 355 ft-lb of torque, and ran high 13's off the production line. I'm not suprised you lost, that's one of the most powerful Mustangs produced.

I want one.

yeah it was a nice car, i have a logger hooked up my palm pilot telling me everything going on in my engine, when i say untuned that means that i have it really rich to prevent knock. but i really need an egt gauge, hopefully i can get one around xmas

im thinking that what i thought was fuel cut at around 5500rpms is actually my maf being over ran, im still messing around with tuning, ima throw a new set of spark plugs in it tonight

looks like a 69 mach 1 stang.

Not to be an ass, but it's either a '71 or '72. The '69 and '70 only had a single hood scoop. I think it's a '71, because the '72 was gimped to meet emissions laws.

ANYWAYS... Update if you see/race him again.

i dont know how many hood scoops this one had at all. and this has been the only time i have ever seen him. i definatly want a rematch!

lol how much did you give for that laser?

12-11-2005, 11:27 AM
i paid 4 grand for it, it is a very rare model, the lasers only came in one year(92) with all wheel drive, and i made the cutoff for having a 6 bolt in it, the car was immaculate when i got it, the mods were when i bought it, s16g, i/c pipes, intake full exhust, fuel pump, 550cc injectors, suspension mods, a bunch of stuff and for the most part it was all done right
