I ordered a kit from Kbox.ca, but I haven't installed it yet. My oil leak stopped after I ran some high mileage oil treatment. However, when the leak starts again, I'm rebuilding it. The kit comes with everything you need to rebuild the distributor. Here is the link:

http://www.kbox.ca/page5.html

It is listed for the MR2, but I emailed the guy that runs the site and he said it'll work.

There is a rebuild kit on ebay for the the 3SGTE dist.
Comes with new seals and bearing.
I don't know if it will work on the 5S one or not.

HOw hard is it to do? I can't imagine it being that bad since it is an external coil.. so none of that shit to worry about

you can also just replace the o-ring on the dizzy shaft. Thats your main problem right there. I had the same thing happen.

No.
There is an internal seal that ususally goes.
That is what causes oil inside the cap.

I have seen a couple of step-by-step procedures outlinining exactly how to do it. One is on this board I think, and one is on the kbox site.

The 3SGTE and 5SFE kits differ by the outer housing oring and as such we have two kits listed.

Our new site is http://www.kbox.ca/catalog/ Please book mark it. We will be taking down the old pages shortly.

I haven't had time to finish this write up but it should get you going in the right direction. Email me at catinhat@tds.net if you have any questions. I check there more than I make it to the board.
Good Luck.
