It is called GM Syncromesh you can get it at Autozone it is in a yellow bottle (I THINK) it works very good.. But if your tranny is to far gone it probably wont help alot

I use a fresh serving of GM friction modified synchromesh in my 91 GT every 2 years (30000km).. THis stuff is fully synthetic and ROCKS for that stupid synchro issue with the 5th gen celica. I pay about $16 canadian per quart....takes 2.7 quarts to change the gear lube (so $50 in fluid) and about $20 labour to change it at the garage (no mess).

You can buy brand name synchromesh, like Quaker state. I can't tell you if that stuf works or not, ive heard good things from others though.

It's manufactured by Pennzoil and sells for roughly five to six dollars per quart.

Great shite so many people have used it and had great results. Its what me and my brother are currently using in our trannys.

Much smoother shifts, good stuff GET IT :)

And yes it is in a yello/blue labled bottle 5-7$ a QT. I used a little under 4 qts

One word of warning, I have heard it eats away at yellow metals [which is what the synchros are made of].
I'm not sure if it's true or not, and I currently use it in my transmssion, but it is getting replaced soon....

My gearbox has been geting worse. But I drive the living hell out of it, using it to slow down the car, the whole works. On an already worn gearbox, theres only so much abuse it can take, even with top of the line fluids !!
