This coming Tuesday is the start of some serious mods for the GT4. Engine and box are being pulled out in readiness for the next step...

Bench flowed cylinder head with HKS 264 cams, adjustable cam wheels and uprated valve springs. Will also look at the inlet manifold when it's off to see if the flow can be imprioved. Block to have oilways cleaned up (rough castings as standard) to improve flow and will be reassembled with fully balanced crank, TRD shells, OE rods, ACL pistons (0.5 oversized) and ARP head studs/rod bolts. That will be coupled to a lightweight flywheel and uprated clutch. This will allow the rev limit to be increased to at least 8000rpm.
Will also be fitting some GReddy 720cc top feed injectors too along with a much larger Koyo rad. Once this is all put together, boost will be turned back down and the engine will be given time to run in properly. Will also give me chance to sort out a decent intake system using an A'Pexi filter and custom made carbon fibre cold air box. WAI will also be lagged and potentially a larger pre-rad to help keep inlet temps down.
Then, once I get back from Europe, I can look at a tubular exhaust manifold, BB turbo (probably a GT30) and an A'Pexi ECU. As for power, no idea what to expect until it's been on the dyno, but see no reason why an 11.xx sec 1/4 mile shouldn't be possible :naughty:

your lucky to have awd to support all that power. take tons of pics and vids for all of us who can only dream of buying a bone stock gt4, let alone doing all the mods you have planned.

Stock ST205 chassis is crying out for more power to be thrown at it. The car is almost boring to drive as it does absolutely everything you ask it to do without batting so much as an eyelid. I'm hoping that an extra 100bhp or so will make it much more fun

You aren't kidding [same thing with a ST185].
I can't get mine to do shit.
I have to launch it at 6k to get the tires to even squeak.
I wish I had the $$ for those kind of upgrades right now. :(
Oh well. Sounds intersting.
Keep us posted. :)

Will mostly depend on the tuning at the end of the day. But would expect to be somewhere around the 20 - 24psi area. Wouldn't like to go any higher than that with OE rods. And I also need to keep things at a sensible level as it'll still be my everyday driver.
