i was looking at buying a 90 gts with a 3sgte swapped in. It is a mr2, don't know year but it is a twin entry. is there anything that is wrong with this engine? Will i be able to swap in a newer 3sgte in with out changin the harness and ecu?

Thanks
Steve

find out what gen your 3sgte is. some pics of your swap for the people reading this thread may help to better answer your question

they're essentially the same motor..... alternator is mounted in a different spot.... a few different brackets but yes you can swap a 3sgte out of a celica in there. if its a different gen then you may run into issues but otherwise you should be good

Depends what year 3SGTE. If it's a JDM 94^, no. You will also need the harness and ecu.
If it's a 90-95 USMD, or 90-93 JDM, no.

Yea the alternator is in the back instead of the front like in all tracs/gt4s

Its possible. might have to make adjustments here and there but its deff possible.
