I don't very often have time to post up here on what Im up to but today is different so I thought I'd post what Im up to.

In june I decided that due to a massive oil leak in my 5sfe I was gonna ditch the old girl and go for boost. I went out and got my self a JDM motor harness and ecu for $750 cdn. I got it from an importer but at that price I knew it was too good to be true. when i removed the intake manifold to clean it I found that one of the water jackets were blown. This cause me to rethink my plan of attack and i decided to take my time a do it right. I went for a full rebuild.

The day the motor arrived was better than xmas

Then I realized I had to clean everything before I could bolt it to the motor

Well she's in the car now but it hasn't started yet as I forgot the fuel resister pack :slap:
Picked on up late last week and hopefully have her running nice early next week as I only work mon and tues.

It looks so clean, you dont see too many 3sgte's like that.
Where did you get it rebuilt and how much did it cost?

The motor went to a place in Toronto called dynamic engine builders... the place was freakin huge. 7 bays not a single hoist just a builders. motors everywhere. They were one of the only places that I called that had experience with 3sgte's.

Cleaning everything else was alot of elbow grease. I went through something like 12 cans of break cleaner numerous dremmel bits, wire wheels, steel wool and sand paper. I think my crappy tire bill for all that was close to $300. Took me a full week of work to clean all the brackets and whatnot

I believe you can get a new one for under 2 grand.. Perhaps he licked it clean?

I'd be expecting him to give me a blow job while rebuilding that engine. Probably more than one.
