Here's my POS, a project in the works. I bought the car a year and a half ago for $300 out of a junkyard. It was totalled and was robbed of it's guts such as the motor, dash, steering components, some interior, and lets not forget that it was rolled. I picked up the project mainly because I had nothing to do after I got home from work and I needed something to work on. I always loved the 5th gens so this was perfect. I did a little at a time and here's how she sat a few weeks back before my FMIC installation. (some of you have seen her on alltrac.net) I know it's rice!

It was a little cloudy so it didn't shine to her full capability!

Wonderful color, but little love for that front facade. It looks like you do some awesome work, and have really restored that car! Overall, i think its a very good looking car :bigthumbu

Any pics from when you first got it?

This is when I first saw the car, went home and pondered......came back an hour later with cash and my truck and trailer. Hauled her off that night into my garage where she sate for months and months for body work and motor install. I didn't have a digi cam back then so sorry for the quality of pictures...my scanner blows!

The engine bay is now painted to match the car since I didn't post any pics of under the hood. I'm a perfectionist and I don't want to post pics of my ugly engine bay...I'm powdercoating everything chrome which shall be done soon after the holidays. Until then, no pics under the hood. :nono:

I'm not sure what you mean here good buddy? And yes, I was really bored....I had just moved out on my own and was sick of the partying scene and drinking, so I decided to do something constructive with my life. My next project includes a 89 festiva and a 1.8T mazda motor....contemplating the Beams 3sge and go all motor if I could ever find one!

OMG! That is so awsome man. You must have alot of pride in your work. I bet if the previous owner of that car was to be on this board, his jaw would drop when he sees this. Excellent work.

I have talked to a person that use to know the person who owned this car before it was wrecked. Word has it that he moved to Minnesota or something? I'm not sure of the details but yes, it would be funny for him to stumble upon this.

What's the color code on that? I'm digg'n it.

Man, if they made that kit without that extreme lip on it, and made it a little smoother, it'd be the shit.

PS. Can't wait to see the frontmount! :bigthumbu

i think some of the guys mean these spots right here

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v484/nvusgt/celiproject.jpg

I know, i for one would like to see '1' a lil more flush with the bumper, not so suddenly bumped out. Smoother, better flow with that. '2' i would like to see flat, i have NO idea why the hell its like that, its just utterly ugly, and beyond me.

I'm not raggin on yer work. I'm dumbfounded with what you've put into your celi so far, its inspiring to say the least! Great job mang, and def keep us updated with pics as you progress.

The #2 small bump in mine is actually a very nice part of the bumper. I can get up and do and oil change without jacking up the car :D I fit right under the car.. I love that part of it hahahaha.

hey thanks, I appreciate your guys' input. Pics of FMIC up soon I hope but when I get back from Florida on Jan. 4th. Hopefully the powder coating will be done by then too! :hehe: Trance, our setup is really similiar...actually it's pretty much identical except for the paint of course. Any problems so far?
