Should I get a '94 F-150, or a '94 Chevy 1500? It's for towing and hauling duty.

Neither get a F-250 with a power stroke...... Unless those are readily available then then my decision would be based on mileage.

I don't want an F250, I mean, I WANT one but I don't think I can afford it. I want to get an early 90s truck for around $2000.

I never thought I would quote Whyte and use this smiley... :stupid:

The Fords are gonna be more affordable than the Chevy, the Chevy however would have more available bolt-ons. And I know it will whisper in your ear for some. ;)

I would suggest a 3/4 Ton though if you are gonna use it for some heavy hauling. You might have to go back a few years, but if you can search very hard, you will find one worth it.

I saw one '92ish F-350 Crew Cab with like 180k miles for around $2000... no rust, looked like it was in good shape.

Hehe. I wonder who might be interested in buying that...

I told you, let me get my finances settled, and that thing will be mine. My old lady was thrilled when I told her we were negotiating on it. She got all Gollumy on my and started going 'My Pretty...'

Even though I really don't like the new Ford's as much..(they have issues.. wife worked at Sanderson Ford) the mid 90's kicked ass. My father-in-law has a 1997 F150 crew cab... that truck is great. It's been beaten and abused and kicked and still chugs along.

The Mazda I own is actually Ford(US mazda's are owned by ford) and has teh Escort?? engine in it. Never had any issues with it except for AC compressor issues when new.
