ok im looking at getting a 240 but from what ive herd i should look for a 93-94 rather than a 89-93, from what ive been told the late 1st gen 240's have a ka24de, which is the dohc engine and the earlier 240's have a ka24e (sohc)

can some body tell me which year 240 has the ka24de

also which is the major diff from a SE trim than all others

89 and 90 had the SOHC motor, and the 91-93 had the DOHC motor. 94 had the DOHC motor too, but was only a drop top. Most of the trims were the same, except there was one with AWS (all wheel steering) much like the 3000gt VR4.

Any more q's ask away.

P.S. you're going to drop in an SR20DET anyways... so what difference does the engine make? ahhaa.

i cant believe you guys get ripped so much.. i heard the WRX's over tehre dont have the turbo engine.. and now the 240 (180SX) here, is also NA. man. they come out here with the SR20DET.

get the later, models, better ECU, red top SR20, if you find one with a SR in it. plus a range of other advantages.. and dont get the AWS version. defeats the purpose of buying a drift car unless you are planning to track it.

he won't swap anything in it ;) if that was the case he would swap his 4afe for something else, lol just giving you a hard way to go joe.

if i do swap it it would be after i get done with school. I wanted to get the dohc model cause its a lil better than the sohc and i could do lil things to it

basicly id just to intake, exaust, header, and maybe suspension work to it
