I have a Celica GT-S that has a swapped 3sgte fwd. Everything is stock except I have a FCD and a greddy boost contrller. My best time was a 14.3 @ like 91mph. I want to hit in the high 13's so what should I do?

Work on your launch, work on your launch, work on your launch.

How's the exhaust system? You can do some weight reduction. Get some drag radials. Get a front mount intercooler, or an all trac hood.

Still a pretty decent time.

drop some psi from the front tires
pump up the rear tires
launch a bit higher than where it bogs

what are your mods, and how much boost were you running?

you should setup your "garage" on your side. that we we can just click on your car and know all your stats.... (i wish everyone used it ! )

Im at 15 psi, I dont really have any mods except boost controller and FCD. I already have the ALLTRAC hood but I can tell the heat soak is killing me. I bought a front mount and tried to hook it up but just didnt have the right tools or time to do it right now. I will try the tire pressure thing.

Edited for spelling :P -ChrisD

I'm getting a AT hood for cooling purposes as well, Is it easy to mount a spal fan on the hood? and if so would I need a Pusher or Puller fan?

The 9" spal pusher low profile is what you need. http://www.jaycorptech.com/showproduct.aspx?productid=9&categoryid=2
There is also a mounting kit that you can buy that has long, thin nail-like pins that slide through the IC fins into rubber washer and a speed clip at all four "corners". http://www.jaycorptech.com/showproduct.aspx?productid=32&categoryid=8
That is how I did my ARC TMIC. If you don't want a mounting kit, you can secure the fan onto the stock tmic cover with some screws. I personally think the cover slightly hampers the cooling effect. Its purpose it to stop debri from hitting the fins. It is a trade-off. But for my ARC, it was a moot point since it doesn't have a cover(obviously). JayCorp is the CHEAPEST I found, but only by a few bucks. I would buy from one ATS to support the site. I am pretty sure they will price match for you. I bought mine before this site existed.

Fuel cut defense.

Your trap speed is also, VERY low to me. By about 10mph, whats up with that? Sounds like it may not be running like it should.

I dont think so Sean. Just because you hit 102 at the track stock doesnt mean every swapper does.

I think your engine is a mutant or something.

I have the slip in my car, It was around 80 somthing to 90 something I dont remember I will go get it and look.

Also what do you guys think my wheel horse power is at 15-16psi?

No exhaust, lack of experience and heatsoak are all reasons why you didn't trap higher or get a high et. I would address all these issues and see what happens.

100 trap is very common.

What is your elevation?

And somebody move this to my section please.

What other mods again?? Probably only around 200ish...

If you're bogging or spinning tires you need to practice launching more. Try feathering the clutch more instead of just letting it go.

This should be in the racing forum.

Ok I got the time slip, I ran a 14.393 @ 97.667 mph

I guess my speed was higher than I thought.

Well..........with that trap speed I would say your whp should be pretty close to 210.
