What are ALL of the differences between the three...or is it the exact same motor and everything just in a different car??

All the same, just the ECUs are different after '95.

Why, need one? :D

93-97 prizm and corolla use the A block, either 7afe or 4afe. 7a being 1.8L and 4a being 1.6. prizm lsi gets the 1.8 and so does the corolla dx.

from 93-95 the 7afe was a fed emissions spec, making 110hp at 5600 and 115 lbft at 2800. in 96 the 7afe became a cali spec with 105 hp at 5200 rpm and 117lbft at 2800 rpm.

yes the geo prizm makes a great beater car  and is easy as cake to fix on :)

I think my balls just crawled back up inside my body knowing that I share the same engine with a Geo..... wait.. I don't have balls... BUT if I did...

So? Sharing engines is nothing new. Just because the car isn't considered awesome doesn't mean it can't have a decent engine ;) If you look at the earlier Prisms, they had the 4AGE in them!

The Geo Prism is nothing but a Corolla with a Geo badge on it. Plain and simple.

almost, different body panels in and interior parts. as well as delco belt driven accessories. my alternator says delco but under my dash and everywhere else says toyota. also i think my ECU plugs into a GM Tech2 where as im not sure if the corolla or celica do.

and the prev gen prizm to mine had a small port 4age, not the same as in mk1 mr-2's. it made around 110hp i think...some mk2 mr-2 people use the bottom end for a swap and keep the silver or black top head instead of the smallport. same bottom end but better head and better tuned ecu, they make about 150hp i think. im a little fuzzy on the mk1 stuff.

i do however have the privledge of shopping at both toyota and chevy for factory parts, some things have the same part number between the 2 places but different prices :lolhittin

also let me add that the JDM 7a-Fe's on Ebay are the exact same as the US model engine, possibly a slightly different ECU tune because of different emissions standards.
